Amour is a film about an elderly couple nearing the final stages of life - a delicate portrayal of one’s life cycle, true love, and the importance of embracing the mundane.

Amour is my personal favorite movie of all time. The level of nostalgia and fear of growing older, however, has limited my views of this film to only 4 watches; this film is so incredibly heavy. Let’s get into the cast...the elderly couple, Jean-Louis Trintignant & Emmanuelle Riva (rest in peace), are so convincingly connected…get the tissues ready.

Also in this film is Isabelle Huppert, who plays the daughter with such vigor. In fact, I went back and watched every film she’s been in - she’s truly a universal treasure - also great style - call me.
