Wherever You Go, We'll Be There
We've been really into commercial ad photography--the way brands have been able to move us, and somehow connect us, in a time when we may be feeling a bit unsettled or disconnected.
A few months back we reached out to local photographer and videographer, Jake Kennedy, to help us produce a commercial we've been thinking about and living for the past few months.
Fun fact about Jake: He was homeschooled for his entire life. That's right--never stepped foot into a school a single day in his life. He travelled with various churches on missions trips to shoot the enamoring sights and scenes of the world.
From the Middle East to Central Africa, and laps around the world in between, Jake began to master the use of sunlight in a natural setting to give his audience (inevitable, yet far too small in our opinion) a taste of perspective through his eyes as their own.
Our story takes a similar approach--viewing the world through the eyes of our friends and family who have taken opportunities or have been forced to leave the places they call home to start a new chapter of lives.
Portrayed by Myah Sarwar, we follow a young woman who has been relocated by her job. Leaving behind the familiar to enter the unknown can be overwhelming, but there is always that one sense of familiarity to remind us of home.
