The timelessly powerful question…what does life after death mean to you?
I Origins, a film about reincarnation and the power of love, takes the viewer on a truly original journey; touching on the eternal argument of science vs. religion - arguing that love conquers all.
The lead in this film, Michael Pitt (Boardwalk Empire), plays a molecular biologist who studies the human eye. When struck with tragic misfortune, Pitt must reevaluate his own beliefs, setting him on a journey across the world. This film features strong co-starring performances by Brit Marling and Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey.
The writing in this film has many memorable scenes - my personal favorite:
“When the big bang happened, all the atoms in the universe, they were all smashed together into one little dot that exploded outward.
... So my atoms have known your atoms, and they've always known your atoms.
My atoms have always loved your atoms.”
