Maritza Hernandez
Mom and Wife of B2B
Pottstown, PA
Behind our strong, father-owned business is a mother who drives it all from behind the scenes. At Bean2Bean, we have a mother, wife and work-version of both who makes lunches, packs our coffee and brings home the bacon, all with the biggest smile and the kindest heart.
After spending the first few years of her life in Puerto Rico, Maritza moved to Brooklyn with her family where she ultimately met Obel Sr.
Our families shared a split level house in Brooklyn; mine on the top and her’s don below. I’d forgotten my key one night and she let me in. It was the first time I saw her in-person…and the rest is history. -Obel Sr.
As Obel Sr. reminisced about this moment with me, he bgan singing ‘My Kind of Girl’ by Matt Monro. (Couple GOALS)
Maritza works full time as Executive Assistant to the CEO at Jefferson Surgical Center in Blue Bell, PA but also effortlessly thrives as mom, grandma and full time support system.
From the moment Obel Sr. said he wanted to start his own coffee company, she was all in. They quit their jobs together in Queens to invest in Obel’s dream and have been supporting one another every since.
In between her work, she’d travel with Obel Sr. to trade shows, put together giveaway baskets and to this day, tastes every roast he brings home to her highly-trusted and honest opinion.
With the caffeine and boys buzzing around her, Maritza is the true high-energy force that keeps the pack going…and keeps everyone grounded.
If there’s something that needs to get done, Maritza is your lady. If she has any energy to give, it’s yours. She cares and gives with her whole heart; says Obel Sr.
Anyone who is lucky enough to cross her path has experienced Maritza’s loveliness.
This woman is someone who has to stay busy, otherwise she’ll go bonkers. When she’s not working at t he hospital, she and Obel Sr. spend sweet date nights with their dog Sarge, signing postcards, stamping bags and making lunches and dinners for the family.
She’s supporting her husband’s business from near and far. Keep your eyes peeled, you may even catch her at the warehouse for Coffee Friday. Keep up with us on Instagram for details!
